About me and our work together

Healing happens in connection with others. I am a biracial, multicultural Oakland native. I know what it feels like to navigate the “in-between.” I work with a diverse range of clients, adults and teens, and seek to reduce the stigma around reaching out for support. I can help you to understand your challenges within the unique social context of your life. I like to encourage self-reflection, making connections, and having your own “A-ha!” moments through our work together.

My approach is very relational, personable, and warm, and I meet my clients where they are at. I am someone who will listen to you, and help you cope with challenges in a healthier way. I can offer you a safe, non-judgmental space to explore the barriers and unique issues in your life, and can help you to make healthy changes when you decide you are ready. What is shareable is bearable!

I’d like to acknowledge that finding the right therapist for you can be a challenge. I am sensitive to this and would like to invite you to take that important first step in reaching out to me. I want to open a safe space for you. Together we can figure out if I am the right therapist for you.
